We made the Donburi recipe last night using beef. It was easy and delicious. Courtney and Chris came over so we doubled the recipe. We all loved it! I will make in in NH for the rest of the family. Looking forward to more easy Japanese dishes!

Hi Nancie, please let me know if it shows up. This type of dish is usually not "fancy" enough to make it onto menus.

This sounds delicious. The next time I'm in a Japanese restaurant here in Korea I'll have to see what they have on the menu.

I love Donburi-style dishes. Japanese is my favourite cuisine, so this recipe is definitely going to my e-files.

True, but we wanted to keep it easy. We can always add a "salmon" update later. My guilty pleasure is the 7-11 sanshyoku bento...and the gyudon. I love when you can get a decent meal at the convenience store.
