I am adding a new twist to Travel Photo Friday by including a Contest. The first person to guess where this picture was taken (country AND area/place) will win a link back to their blog with the anchor text of their choice in this post (keep it clean and relevant). Leave your guess and website in the comments below.
I will also stumble and review your latest post. Yes, the prizes heavily favor the blogging and travel geeks amongst us. If you don’t have a website, then leave your favorite website or better yet a charity that deserves attention.
Update:
The winner is Kyung ah, who I think has the same photo here on Trip Advisor Congratulations!
I have decided that anyone who leaves a comment until Thursday next week (May 20th) will get a stumble and a comment on their latest blog post (so leave a link with your comment). The winner will also get the anchor text link.
I took this picture while in at Wat Lokayasutharam in Ayutthaya, Thailand. Let’s hope a little more peace comes to Bangkok soon!

Damn I knew the answer as well – need to get earlier next time – great blog !
Good to discover your blog. Interesting contest – I’d not have got it despite going to Ayutthaya which is frustrating. Please come and visit my blog as well.

Hi Mark, sorry you missed the reclining Buddha, or forgot about it. Temples and statues are starting to blend in my head as well. I will be visiting, commenting and stumbling everyone soon. Cheers
Ayutthaya is beautiful, so little but so charming. We spent few days cycling around its many temples but the best was at dusk when the ruins became a magical place to wander around.

Thanks for sharing Marta.
Congrats Kyung! Thanks Todd for commenting in my site.
I look forward to more contests here.

I agree with the sentiment of hoping peace comes to Bangkok soon! I work at a newspaper, and so I read about all the violence and protesting going on there nearly everyday. It’s very sad.
I like this photo. But I have a question — the gold sheet-looking part, is that actually part of the statue?

Hi Amanda, thanks for stopping by. My friends are living in an apartment just above the shooting and her kids are scared to death. I feel bad for everyone involved.
The gold sheet is the statues robes, its quite common to put clothes on statues in Asia.

Although as the first participant in this new weekly contest I will stumble your last post anyway. Maybe from now on the winner will get the anchor text but everyone who participates will get a stumble and a comment on their most recent blog post.
Cheers,
Todd
