Hiking in Dragash, Kosovo–Free Guidebook
Download my Hiking Guide to the Mountains of Dragash

COMING SOON: The Mountains of Dragash Kosovo: Hiking and Nature Tourism Guide is a free guidebook to the untouched, and relatively unknown area of Dragash, Kosovo in the heart of the Sharr Mountains. Located in the southern end of Ksoovo, Dragash is an oasis of untouched natural beauty and traditional vilalges sandwiched between the borders of Macedonia and Albania.
This 100 page guide includes 14 hiking routes and 4 mountain biking tracks shown for the first time. All of these hikes have been known to the locals for generations and many are still used to trade on horse back across borders along high mountain passes. All hikes come with GPS tracks and maps with a mix of topographic and satellite imagery.
Dragash is one of the most remote areas in Kosovo and this guide book finally allows the average hiker to access the surrounding mountains. Ignored by the Yugoslav government it was spared the hideous communist era concrete hotels in other area around the Balkans. It remains one of the poorest regions in Kosovo but also oddly one most easily visited as the turn off into the mountains is close to Prizren, Kosovo’s most historically well preserved city. Combine a mix of Albanian and Gorani ethnicity and the area is a wealth of cultural treasures.
